A Couple of Challenge Cards

This first card was for the SCS Technique Challenge. It required that the focus of the design be die cuts instead of stamping. I created the sentiment on my computer.

Background Stamp: Wordprints by Hero Arts
Papers: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, and Regal Rose by Stampin' Up
Inks: Gray Flannel and Tuxedo Black by Memento
Regal Rose and Soft Suede by Stampin' Up
Tools: Scissors and Thread Die by Sizzix, Nestabilities Circle,
 Nesting Lace Circle by QuiKutz
Gelly Roll Pen by Sakura

My second card is a one layer, clean and simple sympathy card created for the week's color challenge at Splitcoaststampers.

Stamps: Never Give Up and With Heartfelt Sympathy by Our Daily Bread
Paper: Pure Luxury White by Gina K. Designs
Inks: Soft Suede, Pool Party, and Calypso Coral by Stampin' Up

  1. Beautiful cards Lynn! I especially like the focal point of the second card!

  2. These are beautiful Lynn. I love the sentiment on the first one, love how those scissors came out.

  3. Wonderful cards. Love the one layer one. Beautiful sentiment too.

  4. What lovely cards Lynn with wonderful sentiments and details on both.

  5. Both cards a just beautiful. I love the scissors and I like how you used the two colors in the rectangle on the second card.

  6. Oh I just love these Lynn mom was a seamstress for 25 years and I just got so nostalgic! Beauties, these are! Xoxo

  7. Both are lovely. Great die cuts on the first one. The second is a wonderful one layer card, a great way to use the colours.

  8. Both your cards are lovely Lynn. I love how the sentiment fits with the scissors and the thread and needle. And your second card just jumps off the page with the focal point against the pink and blue.

  9. Wow, both of these cards are outstanding. Your second card touched my heart.

  10. The first one is so cute! And I love the colors and sentiment you used on that second one!

  11. As always, you have so many lovely cards. One of these days I am going to case a few more!
This is so right for a sympathy card - with the lovely cross and thoughtful verse.
