Polka Dot Birthday

I have created today's design for Challenge 70 - Polka Dot with a Birthday Theme at the Anything Goes Challenge Blog as well as the Ways to Use It - Sweet Child of Mine Challenge 381 at Splitcoaststampers. I never have birthday cards when I need them so was glad to find these challenges today! This one must hit the post office before the sun sets!

I had fun mixing together images to created this window scene for SCS WT380 which required a window or a door. I selected to use the Grand Madison Window by Poppy Stamps. The moon is from Owl & Autumn Moon by Kitchen Sink Stamps while the trees are from Lovely as a Tree by Stampin' Up. I then selected this sentiment from Out on a Limb Sentiments by Papertrey Ink.

Today's card was inspired by SCS Queen for the Day's Cathy McCauley. I loved her amazing sponged background on her New Beginnings and converted it into the masculine card of encouragement I needed to mail out today. Now this was truly a 5 minute card!! I love when that happens!

KSS Ten Minute Monday - Design 76

For this week's 10 minute design, I created a mask the size of the card and cut a square hole in it using my square Nestabilities. After affixing the mask to the card front with repositionable adhesive, I stamped the script over the space and then sponged color over that on three of the corners. I left one corner clean for stamping my focal image which I added after removing the mask. This is a quick and easy one layer design with a punch of drama. I hope you like it! Baskets of Blossoms - KSS 10 Minute Design 75

Since I had not cleared my work space after creating my card for the Queen for the Day SCS Challenge, the KSS baskets were still opened on my desk. I thought the baskets would look sensational with more of my KSS flowers so I included them as the focus of this week's 10 minute design. This is another one layer creation. I love when I can create with just stamps and ink on paper.

I stamped the basket first and then stamped the grass over it. I then masked the top line of the basket and added the flowers. If you don't have the baskets in your KSS collection yet, you're going to want them! What fun I had filling them with beautiful flowers!
