One Color Card Stock and Ink + White

For Kitchen Sink 10 Minute Card #61 I have used one sheet of colored card stock and the ink pad that matches it along with a little white card stock. Often people will contact me about layered stamping saying they don't have a wide range of ink pads or colors that blend well together. I designed today's challenge to demonstrate that depth and color coordination can be created with only one color. You don't have to have tons of ink to get beautiful results.

Pull out your Kitchen Sink images to give it a try and share your results with us in the Kitchen Sink Stamps Gallery.

Queen for the Day - Patricia Rose

Today's post honors Patricia Rose, aka kokirose of Splitcoaststampers, who was just crowned Queen for the Day. Patricia and I both share a love for the sweet characters created by House-Mouse Designs, Inc. so I have chosen to case her A Smile 4 You! With spring just around the corner, I have made an Easter version of her sweet card.

KSS 10 Minute Challenge - Torn Paper Design

The task is simple for this week's Kitchen Sink Stamps 10 Minute Card Challenge. Tear a corner off of a panel of designer paper, attach the remaining designer paper to your card front, and stamp your Kitchen Sink image in the empty space. For those sharing your creation in the Kitchen Sink Gallery, the keyword is 10MC60.

Another 10 Minute Monday - KSS Style

Thanks for dropping in on this week's 10 Minute Monday Challenge!  For this week's design, I stamped a straight line of Kitchen Sink images across a 3.75 x 5 inch panel of white card stock. I then trimmed the bottom edge off belowthe stamped images and attached the panel to a matching piece of card stock. After adding a sentiment below, I mounted the panel to a white card. Play along this week and add your card to the Kitchen Sink Gallery using 10MC59 as the keyword.

SCS Virtual Stamp Night Mini

I was out of town on Friday during Splitcoaststampers' Virtual Stamp Night Mini but got the chance to play a little catch up today and completed two of the challenges.

My first card was for a challenge which required that the design contain flourishes of some sort: stamped, embossed, or die cut.

and Lucky Limeade by Stampin' Up

Tools: Flourish Die Cut, SU Oval Punches, SU Scalloped Punch
MS Leaf Punch, Sizzix Embossing Folder
Embellishments: Jeweled Brad, Organdy Ribbon

The next challenge I completed, required that participants create their own layered flower. I tried out my new McGill Rose Punch. My rose looks a little "wild" but I am happy with it for my first attempt!

10 Minute 1 Layer Reverse Mask

With postage prices on the rise again, one layer cards with no embellishment are beginning to have more and more appeal to me. To create a little additional depth today, I cut a square reverse mask and sponged a little ground and sky in the background for each card. I then stamped the image partially outside the "box" and added a sentiment for Kitchen Sink Stamps 10 Minute Challenge 58.

I would love to see your creations using this quick and simple technique. Should you wish to share your KSS creation for this challenge in the Kitchen Sink Gallery, be sure to add keyword 10MC58.
