Kitchen Sink Stamps - 10 Minute Wedding Cards

There are not many restrictions on today's 10 Minute Card Challenge. Use your Kitchen Sink images and anything else you like to complete a wedding card in 10 minutes! I went with an embossed card front with white and black as my primary colors, but make yours any way you like!

Kitchen Sink Stamps - 10 Minute Torn Paper Challenge

Here are the rules for this week's Kitchen Sink 10 Minute Card Challenge.

1. Include torn paper in your design

2. Finish your card in 10 minutes. Remember, the time it takes to gather and organize all papers, inks, and stamps on your clean desktop does not count! That usually takes me another 10 minutes! LOL!

Spotlighting with Kitchen Sink Stamps

For this week's Kitchen Sink Stamps 10 Minute Card Challenge, I thought it would be fun to play with spotlighting. I am loving how these cards turned out! I hope you will give this technique a try with your Kitchen Sink Stamps. If you load some into the KSS gallery, please include keyword 10MC23.

 Here is the shortcut method I use for spotlighting which allows you to create this type card so quickly.

 Step 1 - Using a tiny bit of repositionable tape, attach a 2.5 inch square of white cardstock to your white card front.


Step 2 - Place a piece of fun foam under your card for cushion, and stamp your image as you normally would.

Step 3 - Remove the 2.5 inch image.


Step 4 - Add the sentiment and attach to a black mat just slightly larger than the stamped image panel.


Step 5 - Reattach to the front of your card lining up the images carefully. I promised you it would be quick and easy!!

This can be done with any size or shape panel you would like to use for your spotlight. Just have fun!!

Queen for the Day and Tangled Up in Creativity

I'm killing two challenges with one stone today with this card. It was inspired by Mary, aka jandjccc, who was crowned Queen for the Day at Splitcoaststampers in QFTD 63. Her wonderful gallery is filled with beautiful flowers and butterflies!!

Kelly at Southpaw Paper Arts challenged the members of TUIC to create a card with purple flowers so this seems to fill the bill!

The designer paper is wisteria by BasicGrey. The sentiment is from Poppies, Poppies, Poppies which will be released by Mark's Finest Papers on Tuesday, June 7.

WT325 - Dying for Die Cuts

Michelle is the new hostess of the Ways to Use It Challenge at Splitcoaststampers and her first assignment for us die-hard challenge chasers was to create a card using die cuts! This is another of the fun Cuttlebug die cuts and embossing folders I snapped up at Big Lots last year on clearance ($2 - can you believe it?)!! The shells and sentiment are from Sand Surf Relax by Mark's Finest Papers which will be released on Tuesday, June 7!
