SCS Queen for the Day - Bev Barton

I used this beautiful image newly released from Angels Landing to create a card to honor Bev Barton, SCS's newest Queen for the Day. Bev has served as hostess for the challenge in the past and is a real sweetheart in the SCS community so I was thrilled to find her wearing the crown of royalty this week!

Nature Bunny & Violets is a digital image which allowed me to size the image to fit my Oval Nestabilities perfectly. To create this card, I printed the image on Georgia Pacific white cardstock. I colored the image with Copic Markers and then masked the image to sponge on the SU Bashful Blue background. In order to the keep the leaves outside the die cut, I scissor cut the bottom edge and wove it through the die cut so that the leaves laid on top of the die while the background and the rabbit laid under the cutting edge. I next cut a purple oval frame and mounted the image. This sentiment and several others come with the bunny.

  9. Lynn, I love what you've done with my image. The violets look terrific extending beyond the oval die cut like that, and the colors are perfect for Easter. Beautifully done.
