10 Minute Gift Topper Card

Another Monday has rolled around which means it's time for a new Kitchen Sink 10 Minute Card Challenge. Today I am sharing a cute little 2 and 1/2 inch card to be used as a gift topper for any occasion.

This card is made using a 7 1/2  by 2 1/2 inch strip of card stock scored at 2.5 inches and 5 inches.

Cutting on the diagonal, remove the bottom half of the first section and the top half of the last section.

Cut two 2 1/4 inch squares of white card stock to stamp a front design and inside sentiment for the card. I stamped my inside sentiment up high so I would have room for a signature.

Place adhesive as shown to attach the stamped front of your card.

Here is what it will look like completed before it is closed on top of your gift.

I put a tiny touch of repositionable adhesive on the front of the back triangle to hold the front gently closed. These are very quick and simple. I had so much fun making them, that I couldn't stop as you can see! LOL!

Inspiration Challenge

Today's spring card was created for this week's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers. I took my inspiration from a wall decal featured at WallTAT. The digital image is from Nature Bunny & Violets by Judi Maddigan for Angels Landing. I hand cut the grass from lime rickey paper by BasicGrey and punched the blossoms from white Georgia Pacific card stock. The bunny was printed on the same white Georgia Pacific which I sponged with SU Bashful Blue. The rabbit was colored with prismacolor pencils and gamsol.

TUIC - Journal Challenge

Christy has challenged the members of Tangled Up in Creativity to create a journal. Well, I have certainly been needing a journal to keep up with my ideas for the 10 Minute Card Challenge I post every Monday in the Kitchen Sink Stamps Forum so this was the perfect challenge for me! After I finished my journal, I went back and read the fine print. We were to also throw in a little spring so I sprinkled a few blossoms over my journal cover. I stamped directly on the recycled kraft paper cover of a lined notepad.

SCS Queen for the Day - Bev Barton

I used this beautiful image newly released from Angels Landing to create a card to honor Bev Barton, SCS's newest Queen for the Day. Bev has served as hostess for the challenge in the past and is a real sweetheart in the SCS community so I was thrilled to find her wearing the crown of royalty this week!

Nature Bunny & Violets is a digital image which allowed me to size the image to fit my Oval Nestabilities perfectly. To create this card, I printed the image on Georgia Pacific white cardstock. I colored the image with Copic Markers and then masked the image to sponge on the SU Bashful Blue background. In order to the keep the leaves outside the die cut, I scissor cut the bottom edge and wove it through the die cut so that the leaves laid on top of the die while the background and the rabbit laid under the cutting edge. I next cut a purple oval frame and mounted the image. This sentiment and several others come with the bunny.

Digital Image: Nature Bunny & Violets by Angels Landing
Papers:  Georgia Pacific White, Almost Amethyst and Lavendar Lace by Stampin' Up, wisteria by BasicGrey
Inks:  Copic Markers, Bashful Blue and Almost Amethyst by Stampin' Up
Tools: Oval Nestabilities, Sponge, Heat Gun, Dimensionals
Embellishment: Heated Organdy Ribbon
