Bemuda Bay Butterfly

It is presently unseasonally cold here in Texas, so I spent the day creating Spring cards!! I started with this one for the SCS Ways to Use it Challenge which was called "In with the New". We were asked to use new crafting items we had never used before.

This inverted scalloped Nestability square was one of the delightful things Santa brought me this year. I cracked open the package and used it to create this layout for my 3 Step Butterfly! You can't tell in the picture, but the black on the wings is Fun Flock, another of my Christmas goodies!!

Stamps: Butterflies Multi Step Clear Stamps
and Honey Bunny Multi Step Clear Stamps by Kitchen Sink Stamps

Papers: Basic Black, Whisper White, and Taken with Teal by Stampin' Up, KO Addison Blue Garden DP

Inks: Butterfly - Layer 2 - SU Bermuda Bay, Layer 1 - SU Bermuda Bay stamped off once, Layer 3 - Versafine Onyx Black with 2 way glue and Fun Flock
         Sentiment - Versafine Onyx Black

Tools: Nestabilities - Scalloped and Inverted Scalloped Squares, Sponge

Embellishments: Rhinestones, Fun Flock

  1. Very very pretty. It is freezing here in Tennessee too, maybe I need to borrow your idea and work on Spring cards!

  2. Beautiful card!!! I love the layout with all those dots along the borders!! Sure looks like a springy card and would love to see some more spring-like weather here, too!! They tell us it could snow over the weekend!! Haven't seen a snowflake here since Christmas Eve 1989!! Really don't want to see another one!! Stay warm and keep making pretty spring cards! Maybe we can forget how cold it is for just a little while!!

  3. Beautiful card! Love the butterfly. (I notice you're from Victoria - I'm from Hondo-about 40 miles from San Antonio! And yes, it's FREEZING around here. So very cold!) Guess we need to be thankful we don't live where it's REALLY cold.

  4. Yes, we South Texans aren't really use to this kind of cold. But, it sure makes for some great "stay in and stamp" weather for me!!! Love the butterfly. The colors are so pretty and you are so nice to put all these color recipes up for us who are color challenged and need this boost when it comes to our multilayered stamping!
